About
Milford on Sea Youth Football Club
This
is a club with a nationally recognised 'quality
control kite mark' - the Football Association's
Chartermark which is awarded to Clubs when they
have met and continue to meet the highest
standards of coaching and conduct.
The
Club was founded in 2002 and continues to go
from strength to strength, with a growing band
of volunteers and a remit to provide football
opportunities for both boys and girls between
the age of 5 & 16.
If
you are a parent you will want to know what you
can expect from the Club, and this web site is
designed to answer all your questions. However,
if you have more, please do not hesitate to
contact either a coach or a Club
Official.
You
may also want to know what the Club will expect
from you! And to this end, we would encourage
all prospective members to make themselves aware
of the Club and Football Association
rules.
Mini-soccer,
which is for children between 6 and 10, is quite
different from adult football, with modified
rules and the emphasis on fun and participation.
Therefore, please take the time, if you
can, to visit www.thefa.com
and go to the
'grassroots' section where you will be able to
complete a 'Soccer Parent' course in just a few
minutes which is designed to raise the level of
understanding and knowledge of everyone involved
with children's football.
Finally,
please remember that all the people involved
with running the Club are volunteers.
Please treat them with respect and give help, or
perhaps volunteer yourself, whenever
possible.
We hope
that this is the start of a long and happy
relationship, and that your child thoroughly
enjoys belonging to and playing for the Club.
So, remember, encourage your child to
play to win , but remember that
our emphasis is on enjoyment,
participation, and having fun . Good
luck!
