Organise fun events for children with special needs and their families and supporters*
Support one another by sharing experiences and informationMembers of SCARF have children from 4 to 19 with a wide range of disabilities such as Down's Syndrome, Autism and Cerebral Palsy.
Our approach is not just to meet the needs of the children but also to recognise that caring for a child with special needs has an impact on the whole family, all of whom need support.
We aim to create an inclusive and welcoming environment in which children feel comfortable and able to participate in activities and adults can enjoy meeting others in similar situations to themselves.
We encourage members to bring friends and family to join in.
SCARF is run by an active committee of parents who are always keen to develop new ideas.
